TREES TALK

TREES TALK – June 26, 2021

This event – a group walk, performance and art installation – was staged in London Fields and created by Catherine Harrington and Bettina Fung, for the London Festival of Architecture June 2021

Inspired by the underground networks that trees are connected by to share resources and create mutual protection and care, the artists staged an outdoor performance which embodied the trees’ bonds of communication. The audience participated in this enactment of trees’ connectivity by joining in the making of the art installation. Postcards, each handmade by the artists, containing links to resources about how trees communicate, were distributed to participants during their post discussion.
