Artist Bettina Fung and I created this group walk to combine stillness and slow walking, with a paper trail that acted as guide and storyteller.

“Speaking” with human and non-human voices, their text trail relayed the artists’ shared narrative of discoveries of the local area, with its intersections between migrating peoples, new and former communities, colonies of plant species, sites for healing and leftover open spaces. This event was created for the art project REFUGIA, hosted by Five Years Gallery, London in 2022.
