CATHERINE HARRINGTON: SELECTED CV​

Catherine studied fine art at City Lit, London during 2016-2018. Since 2017 Catherine has been developing her artwork in independent study at Studio Ell, New York.

Catherine’s art practice is informed by her early training and work as an architect. She studied architecture at University of Waterloo, Canada and the Architectural Association, UK. She is a registered Client Adviser at the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).

Her experience has led to an expertise in coordinating art and design projects, and she leads workshops with schools, community groups, environmental groups and charities. Catherine has been involved in teaching design for many years. She is a regular visiting lecturer and critic in the AED Masters programme at the University of Westminster. She has been an invited lecturer at universities in the UK, Canada and Portugal. In 2020, Catherine presented her artwork at the Anthropology and Geography Conference: “Dialogues Past, Present, Future”, Royal Anthropological Institute, London.

Born in Canada, Catherine is based in Hackney, London. She is a member of Five Years, an artists’ organisation and Alt:mfa, a peer led artist group. She is a participant in the anti-fracking campaign group FrackOff London and EcoACTIVE, a charity which offers environmental education to local schools.
